UW-Oshkosh Excels in the Fall Semester (1-27-17)
The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team had another successful semester in the classroom. The ten-time collegiate club national champions had 18 members of the team achieved a 3.00 or higher during the 2016 fall semester.

Named to the Dean’s List (3.75-4.00 GPA) were Alex Basting (So. - Franklin), Mitchell Lahmann (Sr. - Wauwatosa), Tony Mack (Sr. – Muskego), Wesley Morioka (Sr. - Chicago, Ill.) and Sam Moua (Sr. - Appleton) . Basting had the highest grade point average on the team for the semester with a 3.94 on 16 credits earned.

Named to the Honor Roll (3.30-3.74 GPA) were Travis Hudson (Sr. - Wauwatosa), Joey Mack (So. - Muskego), Matt Pedersen (So. - Muskego), Sammy Pedersen (Sr. - Muskego), Ifeanyi Ukachukwu (Fr. - Evanston, Ill.) and Michael Wamboldt (Sr. - Pleasant Prairie).

Those achieving a 3.00-3.29 grade point average were Ryan Albers (Jr. - Appleton), Joe Kuchler (Sr. - Muskego), Adam Landgraf (Sr. - Kenosha), Jake Martin (So. - New Lenox, Ill.), Stephen Seaman (Fr. - Muskego), Andrew Shea (Sr. - Brookfield) and Michael Starzec (Sr. - Buffalo Grove, Ill.).

"Monitoring grades and offering study table really helps our players," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "We feel that we not only hold the players accountable on the court, but as well as in the classroom."
