UW-Oshkosh II Wins 15th Straight Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II Regular Season Title (3-27-17)
The UW-Oshkosh II men’s volleyball team continued its incredible streak of winning the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II regular season by winning seven matches over the course of two days on Saturday and Sunday (March 25-26) in Menomonie and Oshkosh, respectively. The Titans capped a perfect 16-0 regular season to capture the conference title for the 15th straight season.

On Saturday, UW-Oshkosh II defeated Michigan Tech University 25-14, 25-20, Winona State University 25-11, 20-25, 15-7 and UW-Oshkosh III 25-16, 25-18.

Adam Landgraf (Sr. – Kenosha) dished out 18 assists and Sam Moua (Sr. – Appleton) had five digs in the win over Huskies. Mitch Lahmann (Sr. – Wauwatosa) and Braeden Melton (Sr. – Beloit) led the team with five kills and Lahmann and Ryan Albers (Jr. – Appleton) each had two service aces. In the victory over the Warriors, Lahmann had nine kills and Moua scooped up eight digs. Landgraf once again paced the Titans with 21 assists and three blocks and Tony Mack (Sr. – Muskego) had seven kills and two service aces. UW-Oshkosh II only had two hitting errors in its win over UW-Oshkosh III. Moua topped the team with eight digs and Alex Basting (So. – Franklin) and Mike Starzec (Sr. – Buffalo Grove, Ill.) each had two blocks.

On Sunday, UW-Oshkosh II swept Michigan Tech University 25-14, 25-19, Winona State University 25-13, 25-21, UW-La Crosse II 25-15, 25-17 and Carroll University 25-16, 25-14 to cap off the perfect conference slate.

Landgraf distributed 17 assists and added two service aces and five digs and Moua led the Titans with seven digs in their first match of the day. Starzec and Mack added three blocks and John Collins (So. – New Berlin) and Starzec had four kills. In their second match against the Warriors on the weekend the Titans were led with five kills by Mack and Melton and Landgraf had 19 assists and two service aces. Basting had three stuff blocks and Moua has seven digs. In the win over the Eagles, the Titans offense came to life slamming down 29 kills in the match. Landgraf put together 26 assists, Lahmann had eight kills, eight digs and five blocks and Moua had 10 digs. Lahmann ended the weekend by tallying seven kills in the victory over the Pioneers. Eli Miller (So. – Burlington) and Moua had five digs and Landgraf piled up 23 assists.
