Oshkosh I Destroys Platteville in Home Opener (2-3-10)
In Wisconsin Volleyball Conference action, the UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team made short work of UW-Platteville in a 25-12, 25-17, 25-14 win on Tuesday (Feb. 2) in Kolf Sports Center. Harris Jorgenson (Fr. - Burlington) led UW-Oshkosh (4-0/4-0 WVC) with 10 kills on 11 errorless attempts. Bill Meidenbauer (So. - Waukesha) followed with nine kills, Tyler Boddy (Jr. - New Ulm, Minn.) seven and Dan Ruys (Jr. - Kimberly) six as the Titans claimed 42 in the match. Nate Sederberg (Sr. - Racine) dished out 22 assists and added four digs and two service aces, Andrew Schinner (Jr. - Mequon) tallied 13 assists and Aaron Wayne (Sr. - New Berlin) scooped up five digs and produced two service aces. Ruys totaled four blocks, including three solo stuffs and Boddy added two service aces. UW-Oshkosh, ranked second in the latest National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division I poll, has not lost to UW-Platteville since the 2001 season.
