Aaron Wayne Named WVC Player of the Week (1-29-08)
Aaron Wayne, a 5-10 libero from UW-Oshkosh is the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division I Co-Player of the Week. Wayne was instrumental for the Titans as they beat Carthage College in a WVC match and captured the UW-Oshkosh Invitational during the week. In the sweep over the Redhawks, Wayne tallied eight digs and two service aces without a receiving error. In 15 games played during the tournament, Wayne scooped up 33 digs, had 11 service aces and only committed six receiving errors in route to a spot on the all-tournament team. UW-Oshkosh went 6-0 during the two-day event, including wins over the University of Illinois and the University of Minnesota (twice).
