2008 Team Awards (5-11-08)
The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team wrapped up its 2008 season with its annual banquet at one of the Titans major sponsors - The Bar of Oshkosh on Friday (May 9). Besides 24 team awards handed out by head coach Brian Schaefer, the Titans honored graduating seniors Kurt Breier, Jordan Jung, Brandon Kirkland and Nathan Malewiski. All four seniors were presented with a game ball with their individual and team accolades written on it, highlighting their career accomplishments.
The team awards as voted on by the players are as follows:
Division III
Most Valuable Player - Mike Heup
Most Improved Player - Miles Kraczek
Best Offense - Miles Kraczek
Best Defense - Greg Lulich
Most Coachable - Mike Murphy
Best Team Player - Mark Beck
Best Spirit - Greg Lulich
Division II
Most Valuable Player - Michael Cotter
Most Improved Player - Gus Odorizzi
Best Offense - Michael Cotter and Gus Odorizzi
Best Defense - Jim Hall
Most Coachable - Justin Soukup
Best Team Player - Kurt Breier and Justin Soukup
Best Spirit - Michael Callaway
Division I
Most Valuable Player - Danny Hessling and Nathan Malewiski
Most Improved Player - Dan Ruys
Best Offense - Danny Hessling
Best Defense - Aaron Wayne
Most Coachable - Tyler Boddy
Best Team Player - Brandon Kirkland
