Brydon Concludes Outstanding Prep Career (6-5-08)
William Brydon, 6-3 middle blocker from Northbrook, Illinois recently concluded his high school career at the Illinois High School Association state tournament. His Glenbrook North High School team, seeded second in the tournament lost a nail-biter to the number one seed in three sets, including 28-26 in the deciding set. The Spartans end the season 36-3 after being ranked second in the state for a majority of the season.

Brydon became the first UW-Oshkosh player from the state of Illinois when he committed last October. He plays high school volleyball under head coach Chris Cooper and for Sky High Volleyball Club. As a junior and senior he was named First-Team All-Central Suburban League and was selected to his league's All-Sportsmanship Team.

"I am happy for Will to be able to end his high school career on such a high stage at the state tournament," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "Memories of such an awesome event will last a lifetime."

Brydon will study either secondary education or English at UW-Oshkosh and is the son of Jim and Donna.

"I am very excited to be attending UW-Oshkosh next year," said Brydon. "I am thankful for this awesome opportunity and I can't wait to give 110% for the team and to be coached by Coach Schaefer. I know I still have a ways to go to reach all of my potential and I know UW-Oshkosh can help me reach that final goal."
