Oshkosh Claims Four NCVF Division I All-Americans; Hudson Most Valuable Player (4-14-15)
Travis Hudson (Jr. - Wauwatosa) repeated as the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division I National Player of the Year after leading UW-Oshkosh to the national title on Saturday (April 11) in Kansas City, Missouri.

UW-Oshkosh (62-2) racked up its fifth Division I national title after going 9-0 over the three day tournament. The Titans only dropped one set during their run and beat seven teams ranked in the top twenty five in the nation, including Arizona State University in the finals.

Hudson becomes the first UW-Oshkosh player in team history to claim the award twice at the Division I level. Other UW-Oshkosh players named Division I National Player of the Year have been Andrew Sederberg (2006), Mike Semrad (2007) and Tyler Boddy (2011).

During the season Hudson was named the Midwest Ten Conference Most Valuable Player and a Wisconsin Volleyball Conference first-team selection. He was also named to the Las Vegas Open all-tournament team and led the WVC in assists per set.

Jake Ahnert (Sr. - Burlington) and Allen Grunert (So. - Muskego) were both named First Team All-Americans. Ahnert was previously named a second-team selection in 2014 and an honorable mention choice in 2013. Ahnert was named to the Midwest Ten Conference and Wisconsin Volleyball Conference First Team and was named the Most Valuable Player at the Las Vegas Open. He led the WVC in hitting percentage for the second consecutive season.

Grunert garnered his first All-American award after dominating the second half of the season. He was named a WVC First Team selection after sitting out much of the Midwest Ten Conference tournament due to illness.

Wesley Morioka (Jr. - Chicago) was recognized as an honorable mention All-American after being named to the Midwest Ten Conference and Wisconsin Volleyball Conference First Team.

The Titans now have 43 individuals that have been named All-American for a total of 63 awards in collegiate club. With the Division I title this season, UW-Oshkosh now has nine total collegiate club national championships.
