WVC Division II All-Conference Awards Plentiful for UW-Oshkosh (4-7-15)
Sam Moua (So. - Appleton) was named the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season to highlight the Titans all-conference award winners announced on Friday as part of the WVC State Championships (April 3) in La Crosse.

Moua, the Titans starting libero, was also named one of five UW-Oshkosh II members to be named first team all-conference. Moua was also a first team selection last season.

Adam Landgraf (Jr. - Kenosha) was named first team all-conference for a second time leading UW-Oshkosh II from the setting position. He was named a first team selection in 2013 before being a member of the Titans National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division I National Championship team last season.

Repeat winners on the first team for the Titans were middle blocker Nate Leitermann (So. - Brookfield) and left side hitter Tanner Swan (So. - Brookfield). The high school teammates were named to the team as members of the Titans Division II and Division III teams last year, respectively. Named all-conference for the first time in his career and rounding out the first team selections for the Titans was left side hitter Sammy Pedersen (So. - Muskego).

UW-Oshkosh II also had two players named to the WVC Division II honorable mention team in middle blocker Braeden Melton (Jr. - Beloit) and right side hitter Zach Tazalla (So. - Whitefish Bay). Melton was also named to the honorable mention team last year when he was a member of the UW-Oshkosh III team and this is Tazalla's first all-conference nod. Last year Tazalla was the starting setter for the UW-Oshkosh II team before moving to right side hitter this season.

“We had every one of our starters gain WVC all-conference recognition,” said head Will Brydon. “I strongly believe that each one of our guys was one of, if not the best in the league in their position. The conference had a strong group of individuals and the guys should be honored to be named to the league all-conference team.”

Setter Andy Rowley (Fr. - Wauwatosa) was the lone UW-Oshkosh III member to be named WVC Division II all-conference after picking up a first-team selection. Rowley led a very young group of guys to a fourth place finish in the WVC Division II.

“Rowley would be the starting setter on all of the other teams in our conference,” said head coach Brian Schaefer. “He could easily have been on our second team this season, but we felt like he would grow as a player while leading his teammates. He is deserving of this award and I am pleased that the conference realized his value to his team .”
