Run Downed Titans Has Easy Way with Golden Eagles (2-24-17)
Despite missing back row player Alex Harty (Sr. - Racine) due to injury and middle blocker Michael Starzec (Sr. - Buffalo Grove, Ill.) because of illness, the UW-Oshkosh II men's volleyball team had little trouble with Marquette University II on Thursday (Feb. 23) in Oshkosh.
UW-Oshkosh (15-1), ranked #2 in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division III poll, routed Marquette University 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.
Normally a left side hitter, Alex Basting (So. - Franklin) filled in at middle blocker and piled up five kills and four blocks. Braeden Melton (Sr. - Beloit) had seven kills, Mitch Lahmann (Sr. - Wauwatosa) added six kills and three blocks and Adam Landgraf (Sr. - Kenosha) dialed up 25 assists and three blocks. Sam Moua (Sr. - Appleton North) and Tony Mack (Sr. - Muskego) each had three service aces in the sweep.
