Oshkosh III Sweeps Pointers (3-14-17)
The UW-Oshkosh III men’s volleyball team remained within one match of the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II conference lead with a 25-12, 25-16, 26-24 victory over UW-Stevens Point on Monday (March 13) in Stevens Point. With the win the Titans swept the Pointers this season in two regular season match-ups.
UW-Oshkosh III (16-7 / 7-1 WVC) remained one match behind UW-Oshkosh II (8-0) and a half game behind Winona State University (7-0) in the standings for the WVC Division II regular season conference race.
The Titans were consistent throughout the match on the offensive end with 36 kills on 61 attempts for a .443 hitting percentage. UW-Oshkosh was led by Joey Mack (So. – Muskego) with eight kills as Matt Pedersen (So. – Muskego) piled up 31 assists, five digs and two blocks.
Andrew Shea (Sr. – Brookfield) added seven kills and Steve Cotton (Sr. – Muskego) and Reed Bogrand (Fr. – Mukwonago) added five put aways. Quinn Arndt (Fr. – Muskego) added eight digs and Cotton led the team with three blocks.
