Calin Swearingen Returns to Volleyball (1-25-19)
Calin Swearingen, a 6’2 outside hitter from Germantown, has decided to join the UW Oshkosh men’s club volleyball program in his sophomore campaign. He joins a solid sophomore class and will add depth to the outside position for years to come.

Swearingen competed for Germantown high school under the direction of coach Rushmer and also played for Milwaukee Volleyball Club under the tutelage of coach Tonx.

Calin comes into his sophomore year with UW Oshkosh encompassing an honor roll level GPA as well as a very high class rank.

When asked why he decided to come back to the sport of volleyball, Calin responded with these remarks, “The first year of college I wanted to make sure I had adequate time to focus on my academics. Once I found the perfect balance, I realized how much I missed playing the sport and having friends who share the same interests as myself. In the short time I have been playing this season, I’ve already found life-long friends and created great relationships with all of the program.”

UW Oshkosh Men’s Volleyball welcomes Calin to the program.
